Our Visit with Santa

We went to visit Santa on Sunday when he visited Charles’ work.  We had been talking to Colin for a couple of weeks about sitting on his lap and telling him what he wanted for Christmas.  I will still nervous though that he’s freak out, or not smile.  But I was wrong!  He climbed up all by himself told Santa his name and that he wanted a Cars bike for Christmas.  It was amazing!

I thought it was also cute that he told me he wanted to ask for bikes for Charles and I as well as a new dog bowl for his puppies.  So sweet, I told him though that he just needed to tell Santa what he wanted, I’d take care of the rest.

Tune for Tuesday – Imelda May

I discovered Imedla May a few months ago on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson (who I adore).  She’s exactly my favorite kind of music – hope you enjoy!

Monday Countdown

Once again thanks to Bookish Penguin for creating this!  I’ve got a lot to be thankful for, and it’s the kind of week where I need to remember that.

Five Things I’m Grateful For

1. Colin, he’s amazing and smart, and growing and healthy.

2. My business, I know a lot of people are struggling and I’m proud to be growing a small business in a time when most folks are saying that’s impossible.

3. Christmas lights, Colin is fascinated and very into looking at all of the decorations this year.  It’s been so much fun.

4. My ability to cook, thank you mom and gram for having a gift in the kitchen. I can’t imagine having to eat out any time I wanted good food.  Especially as disappointed as I’ve been with restaurants lately.

5. My mom, we went and got mani/pedis on Saturday.  I love spending time just the two of us every once in a while. It was a nice bit of girl time.

Four Things I Can’t Stop Thinking About

1. Christmas, I’ve started my shopping but I’ve got lots left.  I love Christmas shopping.

2. Food, I’m currently working on next weeks menu, but since I just ate breakfast nothing really sounds good for dinner next week.  However everything on this week’s menu sounds amazing!

3. The business.

4. Family, and what our next move is.

Three Things I Want To Accomplish This Week

1. Work out 3 days. I will do this this week!

2. Start and finish Capital Crimes by Stuart Woods, only one more Will Lee book after this one and I’ll have read all of the character series’ by Stuart Woods, and I’m only missing a few stand alone books.

3. Layout a marketing plan for 2012 for the business.

Two Things I Am Working To Be Positive About

1. Business, I’ve sort of hit a plateau and I’m afraid I’m just not doing enough.  I’m wanting to move to the “next level” as they say. I’m thinking of getting a coach (something many say is a must).  I think I’ll wait until I return from my conference though.

2. Life, I’m working very hard to stay positive and remember and focus on all of the positives in life, not the few things not currently going my way.  We are so lucky and I need to remember that.

One Random Thing

1. We went to the holiday party thrown by Charles’ company this weekend, it was fun to be out just the two of us.  Very disappointed in the lack of vegetarian eats though. Salad and mushy carrots and broccoli was not the best dinner ever.

Tune for Tuesday

We’re taking it back old school…which is sad to me because I remember when this song came out and the video that went a long with it.  This is “The Sunscreen Song” by Baz Luhrmann.  The video below is not the original video, but I preferred it for this because it included the lyrics.

Monday Countdown

Once again thanks to Bookish Penguin for creating this!  It’s been too long since I did it and we’re changing that today!

Five Things I’m Grateful For

1. Colin being a genius.  I’m not willing to share why but he is a freaking genius!

2. My supportive family!  I’m heading down a new path, it goes a long with my current business but basically I’m launching a second one as well.  It’s a good thing they love me!

3. Cold weather!  I’m enjoying it being cold, looking forward to heading up to the snow again, and not breaking my ankle this year :).

4. That I’m organized.  My life would be chaos if I didn’t have basic organizational skills.

5. Bones, I love the show and am so happy it returned last week!

Four Things I Can’t Stop Thinking About

1. My new project, it’s going to help me accomplish a lot of my longer term business goals.

2. Christmas, I’ve got a lot of shopping to do and I’m so looking forward to getting started!

3. April, I’m going to a conference (my very first) and I’m also on the programs committee for the event.  It’s going to be amazing, but I’ll be away from Colin for the first time ever.  Not to mention missing my wedding anniversary. Like I said it’s a good thing they love me.

4. Food, I’m seriously hungry, like all the time lately.

Three Things I Want To Accomplish This Week

1. Work out 3 days. Not just run but some exercise around the house as well.  Maybe some Yoga with my mom.

2. Finish Alien in the Family by Gini Koch and start Deep Lie by Stuart Woods.  I’m trying to finish all of Stuart Woods’ Will Lee books before December.

3. Some cleaning!

Two Things I Am Working To Be Positive About

1. Losing weight, it’s not going well, which is totally my own fault.

2. That I’ll actually clean.

One Random Thing

1. I totally won something today. I won Don’t Fear the Reaper by Michelle Muto thanks to Amanda at On a Book Bender!  I’m stoked to read it!
